For years, she had fought dark forces, wielded spells as weapons, believing herself a protector. But what good was magic if it only took? If even a phoenix, the symbol of renewal, could fall, then what hope was left?  Unless… unless this was the moment to begin again. She pressed the feather to her heart. The air shifted. The ground trembled. Then, fire!

 Golden flames erupted, not in destruction, but in renewal. The phoenix’s body dissolved into the inferno, reshaping, reforming, until the fire collapsed inward, leaving behind something new, stronger, brighter.
